Nicola manages the Active Movement programme at Sport Southland, focused on raising the awareness of the important role movement plays in holistic development in the early years. In addition Nicola also works alongside Southland Workplaces as the coordinator of the BNZ Workplace Challenge, and is the facilitator of the Finding Your Feet Activity Programme.
Nicola is a born and bred Southlander, having grown-up on her family farm near Winton before studying at Lincoln University, where she completed a degree in Sport and Recreation Management majoring in Community Recreation.
After graduating from Lincoln, Nicola worked as Canterbury Tennis Event Manager, where she gained valuable experience working on the International Tennis Federation Super-Seniors World Championships and the 2008 ASB Trans-Tasman Challenge.
Nicola has returned to Southland after a 6 month working holiday in the UK. Nicola has a passion for sport and is a keen netballer, her other recreational interests include, running, skiing, and boating with friends and family.
