Jason Forbes
Jason is Senior Partner for the Bank of New Zealand in Southland.
Jason is married to Shannon and they have two school-aged daughters Ella and Sophie. They moved to Invercargill from Christchurch in 2004 and are now well ingrained in the community.
Jason brings to the Board 25 years experience in finance and risk along with post-graduate qualifications in financial planning.
Previous governance experience includes three years in local government as a District Councillors in Waitaki (whilst in his late 20s), and he is currently chair for St Johns Girls School Board of Trustees.
From a sporting perspective, Jason played both rugby and hockey to senior level, along with martial arts. He now enjoys recreational cycling, both mountain bike and track.
With both daughters being active ina wide range of sports Jason is a passionate supporter, spectator and an advocate for active Southlanders.
