AN ACTIVE FAMILY IS A HEALTHY AND HAPPY FAMILY

• Active Families assists families (with a young person aged 5 -12 years) to get more active and learn about healthy eating.
• Participants are involved in weekly group sessions and personalized goal setting over a 6 month period.
• Active Families is all about having FUN and that best part is that it is FREE
• Once you have registered for this programme you will learn tips and ideas on family physical activity, sports as well as low cost,
nutritious food hints

To be part of the Active Families your child must be at least ONE of the following:

o Aged 5-12
o Would benefit from being more active or has a poor eating habits
o Is possibly overweight
o Has supportive family/whanau
o Is medically stable
