2007 Southland Sports Awards
The 2007 ILT Southland Sports Awards were held on Thursday 8th May at Stadium Southland.
The aims of the Awards are:
- to inspire the Southland sporting community
- to recognise and honour the outstanding achievements and performances
- to recognise and honour our top coaches
- to recognise and honour the services of our top officials and administrators
- to promote positive sporting role models for Southlanders

ILT Senior Sportsperson of the Year: Jimmy Cowan (rugby).
The Community Trust of Southland Junior Sportsperson: Eddie Dawkins (cycling).
GWD Russells Team of the Year: Southern Sting (netball).
The Radio Network Coach of the Year: Robyn Broughton (netball).
Administrator of the Year: Alison Comack (netball).
Sport Southland Services to Sport: Southern TeamCo Board (netball)
