Congratulations to everyone who entered one of the Share the Road competitions in 2011. We had some amazing entries and were very impressed with the high standard. The winning banner entries will be displayed in the ILT Velodrome for a year.

Information for Teachers 

Safe, responsible and active cycling are the cornerstones of the Share the Road message, and with the online resources and planning they will provide great teaching and learning opportunities for you and your students.

Road Safety, and in particular safe cycling, sits within the following curriculum areas - Health and Physical Education, English, Mathematics and Statistics. Complete planning-Levels 1-4, in the above learning areas, can be found at http://education.nzta.govt.nz/curriculum

Road Safety Southland, Sport Southland, Royal New Zealand Police Education Officers and the cyclists from the Share the Road team, will again be joining forces to deliver a unique education experience to more than 3000 Southland students ahead of the iconic PowerNet Tour of Southland. Selected schools will be notified in October.

 

The Share the Road team values and appreciates the ongoing support and participation from schools in Southland. We believe that schools are an essential part of the growing success of the Share the Road team!
