School Competitions
Sport Southland together with Road Safety Southland would like to offer your School the opportunity to win prizes to the value of $3000 while incorporating Road Safety messages into the classroom.
Details of the competitions available are outlined below:

Banner Competition:

Theme is safe and responsible cycling messages.

  • No smaller than A2
  • Must include a safe and responsible cycling message.
  • Must include the Share the Road logo.
  • Must display the form with school name, age level and artist names on the bottom right hand corner.
  • Must be delivered to Sport Southland by 3pm on Thursday the 3rd of November
  • Banners must be picked up from Sport Southland by Friday the 10thNovember. Any not picked up will be disposed of.
Banner Prizes:     
1st - $500 Sports Kit
2nd - $300 Sports Kit
3rd - $200 Sports Kit

Movie Competition:

Theme is safe and responsible cycling.
  • Minimum of 30secs-maximum 90secs. 
  • Must be uploaded to YouTube.
  • YouTube link and privacy permission** form allowing us to display the movie on the Share the Road Website must be emailed to nicola.taylor@sportsouthland.co.nz by Wednesday the 2nd of November.
Movie Prizes:
1st - $1000 Information Technology Voucher
2nd - $500 Information Technology Voucher

School Story Competition:

Theme - share a safe and responsible cycling story from your school
  • Must be a Word Document of 1MB or less. 
  • May include 3 digital pictures of 1MB or less.
  • A privacy form needs to accompany the submission allowing publication on the Share the Road website.
  • Please submit by email to nicola.taylor@sportsouthland.co.nz by Wednesday the 2nd of November.

School Story Prizes:
5 x $100 Information Technology Vouchers
