FOCUS GROUPS

Focus groups around Southland were conducted in 2007 to help inform the programme content. The parents, caregivers, and health professionals who attended these focus groups gave us great ideas and insight into the local perspective.

PILOT PROGRAMME

PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION

'Healthy Me & You' was a free programme for parents/caregivers and children 3yrs or 4yrs old.

        • Make mealtimes enjoyable
        • Fun physical activity
        • Food budget skills
        • Free giveaways

The course ran once a week for six weeks, from 10am - 12pm or 9.30 - 11.30am.

Courses ran throughout Southland in 2008 in:
