Workforce Development
The Southland HEHA Programme Workforce Development sessions in Invercargill, Takitimu, Hokonui, and Wakatipu have concluded for 2007.
The participating agencies will be receiving Ongoing Support from the Southland HEHA team including:
- Assistance, advice, or a 'helping hand' with any healthy eating or physical activity promotion
- Access to our Resource Library
- Regular newsletters containing useful HEHA tips, local HEHA related news, upcoming events, and an update on 'Healthy Me & You'
For anyone who missed out on the workforce development programme in 2007, Resources and Online Sessions are accessible via this website.
Results from our evaluation of the workforce development programme show:
On average, participants' confidence in encouraging healthy eating and physical activity within their work increased 14% and 19% respectively.
Participants who attended three or four sessions rated their motivational interviewing skills, on average, twice as good after the training compared to beforehand.
