1. What date is the event on?
Sunday 17th November 2013
2. Where do we collect the Race Packs from?
Race packs are available for collection from Sport Southland, SBS Sports House, Stadium Southland, Isabella Street.
3. When can we collect our Race Packs?
Race packs are available for collection on Friday 15th November from 8.30am till 5.00pm and on Saturday 16th November from 10.00am till 1.00pm and 3.00pm till 5.00pm.Any uncollected race packs will automatically be taken to the relevant event starts on Sunday morning. Please be prompt and clearly identify yourself to the staff present that you still require your race number and transponder.
4. Where does transport to the respective event starts leave from?
All transport (by bus) to the start of each event leaves from the Stadium Southland carpark, Isabella Street.Please ensure you are on time, as buses will leave at the nominated time.

8. When are the Race Briefings?
Race briefings for each of the respective events will be held ten minutes prior to the start.
9. What colour are Race Numbers and what do they represent?
The race numbers have been colour and number coded for each of the respective races as outlined below:|

10. Are we able to take Gear Bags?
If you take gear to the start line of your respective event, your excess gear can be left on the bus that took you to the start. The gear will then be returned and available for collection from the Invercargill Clubrooms, Surrey Park.
11. Are Transponders and Timing being used?
Each competitor in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km events will be issued with a transponder that corresponds to their race number and an electronic time automatically produced.The transponder is a type of velcro 'bracelet' that you strap around your ankle and wear for the entire race (please make sure it is strapped securely around your ankle). If the transponder is not on your ankle you may not receive an official time.
At the finish line you will be required to return the transponder (assistance provided) – if the transponder is not returned you will incur a $50.00 replacement fee.
Should you withdraw from the race before the finish, please ensure your transponder is returned to the Sport Southland Events Caravan at the Finish line.
12. Can I take my dog?
No, only if it is a service dog.

14. Are there supplementary drinks available at the drink stations?
Yes, we will have Powerade and water available at the aid stations outlined above (approximately 5km intervals).
15. Supporters Vehicles
It is absolutely forbidden for supporters vehicles to shadow competitors as this creates a serious hazard on the course. Competitors whose support vehicles do this will be disqualified.The only place you can feed/support your athlete/s is at drink stations – please park safely and appropriately.
16. Where are toilets located on the Course?

17. Will there be any Road Markings on the Course?
Yes, "km to go" signs will be on course every 5km, from the 40k mark to the 10km mark, then at 8km, 6km, 5km, 4km, 3km, 2k and 1km to go (corflute signs).18. Will the Course be taken down?
The Course will be closed to all competitors at 1.30pm. Athletes still on the course after this will be withdrawn to allow the release of Traffic Management and Marshalls at the discretion of the Race Director.
19. Are there Event T-Shirts?
Event t-shirt orders are available to order when you complete your entry.The final t-shirt order will processed after the event should you wish to purchase one. These will be available within approximately 3 weeks after the event.
20. Where can I find out about Results?
Results will be on the event website within 24 hours after the completion of the event.
21. Is there a Prizegiving for the Event?
The prizegiving will be held at the Ascot Park Hotel, corner of Racecourse Road and Tay Street (eastern boundary of the City on State Highway 1).Doors open and refreshments are available from 12.00pm. Prizegiving starts at 2.00pm. A cash bar will operate.
All competitors will be eligible to win spot prizes totalling over $1,000.00 but they must be in attendance at the prizegiving.
