Our nominated UniGames transport partner, McDermott Coachlines will provide coach services for competitors and team officials during the 2010 UniGames.
McDermott’s Coachlines are Southland’s largest coach operator and have 45 years of experience in catering to the Conference and group travel markets.
McDermott’s have over 50 coaches available and given the 2010 Unigames timing in the school holidays, most of the fleet and drivers will be available to service the games.
McDermott’s, in conjunction with the Southland UniGames Organising Committee, will build dedicated UniGames timetabled bus routes.
These will service:
• accommodation locations
• key sporting venues
• the event hub at Stadium Southland
• return to accommodation from the main social events at Stadium Southland / Invercargill City Centre
McDermotts Coachlines will also service any Teams/competitors arriving into either Invercargill, Queenstown or Dunedin airports to their accommodation.
The (coach) drive times to Invercargill City are:
Queenstown Airport – Invercargill 2 hrs 20mins
Dunedin Airport – Invercargill 2 hours 10mins
