Community Coach
Community Coaches are the backbone of sport in New Zealand and usually coach at school and or club level.
Support for our local community coaches is available with both resources here on our Sport Southland website and at workshops held during each year.
Our future plans include taking our Community Coach programme to the regions in Gore Winton Riverton & Queenstown where Effective Coaching Modules on a range of subjects will be delivered.
Sport Southland gets to meet many of Southland’s most valued coaches and gets to run the SPARC Sport Volunteer of the Year annually to recognise the wonderful work of our hard working community coaching team.
