
Trevor McDowall is our 2010 SPARC Volunteer Coach of the Year.
Trevor McDowall has coached swimmers from the Ika Club and the Special Olympics for 36 years.
This amazing record won Trevor the Invercargill Licensing Trust’s Lifetime Award and the ILT / Stadium Southland / Sport Southland Southland’s Volunteer Coach of the Year title.

Richard Lindsay from SPARC and Mr. Mike Hartigan from Watties attended our breakfast awards function yesterday morning with approximately 100 people.
Special Guest Speaker was Southland’s Junior Olympic Champion Aaron Barclay who enthralled the room with his recent experience in Singapore and his special relationship with his coach Sid Cumming.
Our Sport Southland Sports Manager, Peter Dunne gave another superb performance as our MC and has been reappointed to the role for 2011.
In addition to the SPARC apparel and Watties products all finalists were presented a $100 gift voucher courtesy of the Invercargill Licensing Trust, Stadium Southland and Sport Southland.
