If you would like to know the distance of your walk, check out the 'Map My Run' website which allows you measure the total distance that you walked: www.mapmyrun.co.nz .

Indoors:

In some towns there are indoor options for walking a short lap indoors. For example, walking around the spectator area (concourse) at the Velodrome at Stadium Southland is a warm, dry 350m track. You are welcome to walk there anytime the Stadium is open, unless there is an event in the Velodrome.
